Ladies mark your calendars for our Fall Bible Studies. The cost is $20 and childcare will be available.
The four studies offered this season include:
OPTION 1: Overcoming Woundedness by Sally Meredith
Joseph was a man, just like us, who experienced the depth of painful circumstances and went on to a height he never dreamed. As we study his life, we learn that God was after his heart, just as He is after ours and mine. Where there is adversity, there is fear. But God desires to transform our fear into faith. He pursues us in the depths of pain in order to bring us to His glory. Even though our hearts have been wounded by people, we have a God who heals our wounds and, through the process of fellowship with Him, shows us His heart.
OPTION 2: Creative Counterpart by Lynda Dillow
Linda Dillow gracefully and succinctly motivates Christian women to reach for more than they are currently experiencing in their marriages. She includes creative suggestions on how to encourage your husband, live above your circumstances, and develop a plan whereby you can begin to become the woman, wife, and mother that you long to be. She describes a creative counterpart as being more than just a helper. She is a woman who, having chosen (or having found herself in) the vocation of wife and mother, decides to learn and grow in all the areas of this role and to work as though she were aiming for the presidency of a corporation.
OPTION 3: God of Creation by Jen Wilkin
Over 10 sessions of verse-by-verse study, dive into the first 11 chapters of Genesis by following three critical stages of understanding: comprehension, interpretation, and application. Teaching videos are key in understanding this study. Revisit familiar stories and historical figures, challenge your basic knowledge, and discover deeper meanings in the text. As God reveals Himself through Scripture, we can only begin to understand ourselves when we first glimpse the character, attributes, and promises of our Creator.
OPTION 4: Forgiven and Set Free by Linda Cochrane
Forgiven and Set Free, an inspired Bible study that can be used by individual women or by a group, effectively ministers God’s healing grace to women who are suffering remorse and guilt after an abortion. This study was developed out of Linda Cochrane’s experience of being freed from the bondage of guilt and grief that followed her abortion. “As I read my Bible, Christ was faithful to touch my open wounds with the healing touch of His promises, ” she writes. “He promised to turn all my wailing into dancing and He has.” Forgiven and Set Free guides suffering and hurting women to bring their emotional scars from abortion “out of the dark past and into His holy light,” where true and lasting healing can take place.
