Sunday Morning Programs

Nursery (ages 0 – 1)

Your child will be in a safe environment where they are loved on and prayed over by our trained volunteers.

Our Nursery is normally located on the ground floor of our Chapel (Building B) and is available during both worship services. HOWEVER, this area is under construction throughout the summer to provide a new, fresh look! Please sign in your children and take them to room 104 or 105 until the nursery update has been completed.

Younger Children’s Sunday School (ages 2 – 2nd Grade)

Jesus had a knack for connecting eternal truths with everyday symbols his audience could touch, hear, and taste. With a younger audience in mind, we pattern each Bible rich lesson with a ‘hands on’ approach! Each class is fun, playful, and packed with learning! Younger children’s classes are located in Building C on Sundays at 8:30am & 9:45am.

Older Children’s Sunday School (3rd – 6th Grade)

Our Older Elementary Sunday school program thoroughly equips kids to know, grow in, and defend the Truths found in Scripture! Students engage in the Bible chronologically from Genesis through Revelation over the course of 3-years.

Our Older Elementary classes meet at 8:30am in Building D.

LNBC Kids Worship

LNBC Kids worship is an age appropriate worship service for children 1st Grade – 6th Grade. Worship includes an exciting Bible story, fun songs, games, videos, and more. Children who are in 5th and 6th grade are invited to serve as part of the Children’s Worship Team. Meets at 9:45am in The Loft on the third floor in Building D.
**There is no Kids Worship on the first Sunday of each month for Family Worship Sunday. Children worship with their parents on these days.

Sunday Evening Programs

AWANA (3-year-olds – 5th Grade)

We do our best to raise our children, and when they head out on their own we hope we have left a life defining, long lasting, spiritual impact. Studies show that Awana Alumni are more committed to their faith, church, and beliefs. Awana is equipping families to know, love, and serve Christ with an unshakeable faith that lasts a lifetime.

Awana registration will open later this summer.

Email Janelle Venters for more information on this ministry.

The Bridge (6th Grade)

This discipleship class is designed to Bridge the gap between children’s ministry and the Youth/Student Ministry. The Bridge students enjoy interesting Bible studies and are challenged to live out what they learn each week. The Bridge meets in Building A in the Club J room on Sundays from 5:00 to 6:30pm during the school year. Registration will open later this summer.

Email Janelle Venters for more information on this ministry.

Meet Janelle

Janelle Janelle Venters is the Children’s Minister at LNBC, and joined our staff in 2009. Called to work with children in college, she studied Early Elementary Education at Eastern Kentucky University, and is currently working toward her Advanced Certification in Children’s Ministry through Bethel Seminary. Her love for children’s ministry is intense! Having served in ministry for almost 20 years, she is passionate about helping guide the spiritual formation of young minds to the eternal Truth that Jesus is Lord, and nurturing a desire in kids to know fully, grow deeply, and show generously, the love of Christ.

Janelle was married to her best friend and ministry partner, Houston, for 16 years, until he was called home to be with the Lord in 2015. They have two beautiful teenage daughters, Bailey and Tori. And though her family calls North Carolina home, they will ALWAYS be Kentucky Wildcats!
